COMPUTER
1a - Double click on the Computer icon on the desktop,if you don't find it, then:
1b - click on the Start button and from the menu
2b - click on “Computer".
The window that has opened offers you a graphic representation of that is found inside the computer.

Generally:The floppy reader is identified by the letter A.
The hard disk (or fixed) by the letter C.
The cd-rom reader by the letter D.
SEEING THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HARD DISK
1a - Click on the Hard Disk icon.This command selects the icon, or you inform the computer that you want to act on that icon.
2a - From the menu bar click on “File”, therefore
3a - click on “PROPERTIES”
or
1b - click with the right key above the Hard Disk icon, and
2b - from the CONTEXT MENU, click on “Properties”.
From the window that has opened, you can see the CHARACTERISTICS of the hard disk: its capacity, the used and the available space, expressed in byte and GB.
SEEING THE CONTENT OF THE HARD DISK
1 - Double click on the Disk C icon (in fast succession).The window changes and it shows you the CONTENTS of the hard disk.
GOING BACK TO THE PREVIOUS VISUALIZATION
To go back and visualize the previous windowclick on the BACK BUTTON,
which is placed above the menu toolbar.
HAVING THE CONTROL OF THE WINDOWS
One can open more windows on the desktop, and these can be moved, made them smaller, magnified, and parked, made them flow and overlapped.REDUCE TO ICON
You previously have seen that the windows can be closed.There is a way for making the window disappear from the desktop without closing it.
1 - Click on the MINIMIZE button aloft on the right (the third last one - represented by a hyphen).
The window disappears, but it was not closed.
In fact, in the application bar you see its icon.
MESSAGES ABOUT THE COMMANDS
When you set the pointer above a command (for instance “minimize”), if you WAIT FOR SAME SECONDS before clicking on it, you will see that a message appear, informing you which kind of command it is.DISPLAYING AGAIN
In order to display the window reduced to icon again,1 - simply click on the respective icon of the taskbar.
MAGNIFYING
The open window can be screen widened, or smaller than the screen.If it is smaller than the screen, the next to last command on the right aloft is the command MAXIMIZE, which allows you to magnify the window as wide ad the screen.
RESTORING
If vice versa the window is already wide screen, second-last command aloft on the right is the command RESTORE DOWN,that allows you to make the window smaller.
THE TITLE BAR
The TITLE BAR of a window is that horizontal band that is placed in the highest extremity.DRAGGING WITH THE MOUSE TO MOVE THE WINDOWS
Besides clicking and double clicking, with the mouse you can execute another operation:the DRAGGING (in this case, of the windows).
To execute this operation:
1 - set the pointer on the title bar (the pointer has to have the shape of the oblique arrow)
2 - press and keep pressed the left key of the mouse
3 - move the mouse as much as you like
4 - leave the left key of the mouse.
MEASURING THE WINDOWS
The dimensions of the windows can be customized.1 - Set the pointer on the extreme edge of the window
2 - when the pointer turns into one “double divergent arrow” (horizontal or vertical),
3 - drag with the mouse.
In other words, press and keep pressed the left key of the mouse - move the mouse - leave the key.
The window has changed dimensions.
In order to check contemporarily the two window sizes, set the pointer on one of the four angles.
SCROLLING THE WINDOW
The content of the open window (even if it is wide screen) could not be visible entirely.In order to view the hidden content, one has to make the window SCROLL.
THE SCROLL BARS
If the content is not entirely visible,the SCROLL BARS can appear on the right and low of the window,
called, respectively “scroll bar vertical” and “scroll bar horizontal”,
you represented by a sheet with its extremities in the form of black and small triangles.
USING THE SCROLL BARS
You can use the scroll bars in various ways:click on the black and small triangles,
or
click on the clear part of the bar,
or drag setting the pointer on the dark part of the bar (scroll box).
